A streamlined option for spouses who have already reached a complete agreement on alimony, property, debts, and every other financial issue.

Almost all uncontested divorces can be completed without a court appearance. At least one spouse must have been a Nevada resident for six weeks before the case is filed.

The basic package includes:

• The initial free, no obligation, telephone consultation;
• An in-person (or Zoom) consultation (up to two hours);
• Drafting the documents regularly required to obtain a divorce in Clark County, Nevada, including:
• Complaint and Answer for Divorce (or a joint petition for divorce);
• Affidavit of Resident Witness;
• Request for Summary Disposition;
• Affidavit in Support of Request for Summary Disposition;
• Decree of Divorce;
• Up to one hour with an attorney to review the prepared documents and explain their contents.

You will need to fill out a form containing all the agreed-upon terms. Documents are prepared from the information you provide on the form.

For this service, Sandpiper does not represent or advocate for either spouse. Either spouse may consult an independent attorney before signing.

This package is for couples who have agreed on every issue. It does not include negotiation, mediation, or advice about whether your agreement is fair or in your individual best interests.

Current Clark County filing fees are generally $299 for a joint petition. When a complaint and answer are used, the combined filing fees are generally $516 ($299 plus $217). Court fees are paid separately and may change.

Dividing a pension, 401(k), or other qualified retirement benefit may require a separate Qualified Domestic Relations Order (QDRO). These orders are not included in the basic package.

This package does not include:

• Child custody or child support matters;
• Legal advice, recommendations, negotiation, or mediation;
• Investigation, discovery, or verification of assets and debts;
• Asset appraisals, business valuations, or complex financial calculations;
• QDROs, deeds, loans, leases, or other separate agreements;
• Motions, court appearances, contested proceedings, or additional filings;
• Sealing records, certified copies, or third-party expenses;
• Revisions caused by changes to the spouses’ agreed terms.

If the court rejects your divorce due to a drafting error, Sandpiper will correct the error at no additional attorney fees. If Sandpiper cannot correct the error, it will refund the package fee. This guarantee does not cover filing fees, third-party costs, or any initial consultation fee.

All engagements are subject to a conflict check and confirmation that the matter is appropriate. If the package is not suitable, Sandpiper will explain any other available options.
